EPISODE FOUR - YOKAI REIZEN

Backstage, in the arena diner, in the line up, a gang of three tough looking humans surround Yokai. As they crack their knuckles one of them speaks to Yokai in a not so soft voice. "Hey you. You Yokai the demon?"

“Who wants to know?”

"It's him bros, let's get him!" With that, the three start throwing punches at the demon who doesn't expect the fight at first. Mason Titanstalker and Ryodo nearby watch everything unfold from the buffet table.

After a delayed moment, Reizen picks up the closest one and throws him at the next closest. The two of them fly into a wall and collapse on the ground leaving one vs one. Chachi announces, "You're gonna regret that, Demon." But Reizen jukes at the third one and knees him in the chest.

Chachi collapses on the ground winded but not out. As he recovers, his two cohorts AKA brothers get up from their heap in the corner seemingly unharmed and begin to circle the demon again. All three begin to throw punches one after another. Reizen takes a guarded stance looking for an opportunity to strike.

Chacha, the eldest, speaks as the punches slow down. "We don't like your kind around here, understand. Go home to where you came from and leave the tournament."

Ryodo stops eating, gets up, and walks over to scuffle, watching from a few feet away.

Reizen takes advantage of the slowed assault and grabs the leg of Chacha, picking him up off the ground by the leg and swinging him around to hit the other two. Chachi and his brother Chach both duck in time, but their brother goes around for another swing and slams into one of his brothers on the second pass.

Mason sips cold tea slowly from his table nearby.

“The only way I’m leaving here is as tournament champion!”

Just then one of the officials of the tournament walks into the room. "What are you guys doing? This is very illegal. I am going to have to disqualify each and every one of you." But a shadowy figure steps in from behind and whispers to the official.

“Take it up with them, I’m more than happy to settle this in the ring” announces Yokai Reizen, the demon being assaulted.

Mason nearby continues eating his food with cold tea.

The official lifts his head, "There’s been a change in plans. I um....I have to go and watch you now..."

“That was weird.” Thinks Reizen to himself.

Chachi gets up looking puzzled as well. Then he picks up a table. "You mean you're gonna let me smash this table over someone’s head if I want?" With that, he smashes the table over Reizen’s head.

Ryodo looks at Chachi. “My food was on that table.”

Mason gets up. “Mine too.”

The official, speaking to Chachi, states an uncertain, "Um...sure? I suppose?"

Yokai, now irritated, grabs Chachi by the throat and squeezes very hard. “Stop!”

Chacha gets up. "And you'd let me take this support beam and smash it into this punks face?" and with that swings the beam and beans the demon in the face, causing him to fly across the room.

“AHHHHH! I....NO.....I mean yes yes yes of course it's legal today.”

Reizen, now furious, rips up a board from the floor and swings it at Chacha. Chacha ducks in time. Meanwhile Chach gets up and announces, "What about this? KAME.....HAME....HA!” and fires a beam directly at Reizen.

The beam nails Yokai right in the gut and he falls to the ground winded.

“Good sirs! If you continue to cause a ruckus in the dining room, I will stop you.”

Meanwhile Mason Titanstalker walks over to Yokai and positions himself against the three human fighters.

The official, in a panic, announces, “We have to stop this!”

The shadowy figure leans in, “Whisper whisper.”

“Are you serious?”

The shadowy figure again leans in, “Whisper whisper.”

“You three have disturbed my dinner, I am not amused.”

Reizen takes a moment to recoup, picks up the board, splits it in half, walks to Chacha the eldest, and presses the jagged end against Chacha’s throat and says, "Listen we’ll fight in the ring or you’ll die backstage!"

“Are you sure this is what the Kai would want? They're going to kill each other! This is highly unorthodox!”

“Whisper whisper.”

“I can't let this go on. At least let them take it to the ring. they'll destroy.…”

“Whisper whisper.”

“Then I'll be back…” With that, the official runs off and out of the room.

In the confusion, Chach and Chachi step side by side with their brother Chacha who draws back from the board. All three place their hands in a Kamehameha attack stance...and draw back, lighting energy…

“You three! Oh….”

Mason draws up next to Yokai. Reizen smiles at his newfound ally. Ryodo steps next to the frozen guy and draws his arms back also. Reizen takes an aggressive fighting stance and prepares to counter.

When the beams fire, Reizen fires back a charge that is quickly overcome, and he is thrown completely off guard as he crashes into the ceiling with the blast and is actually dragged through the beams until collapsing on the floor on the other side of the room.

Reizen looks up from his new found position on the floor to get a grip on where he is and what just happened. He thinks to himself “Why are they letting this go on!?” Reizen powers up silently while giving a death stare to the brothers three.

“Okay, this is crap!” Ryodo brings his arms to his sides and releases a burst of energy, powering up to his full power. As Ryodo prepares to fire back, the shadowy figure steps in his way and flicks his hand in Ryodo’s general direction, causing him to fly through three nearby walls in the opposite direction before he gets his attack off. He looks damn cool doing it.

Mason stares briefly in Ryodo's direction wishing he looked that damn cool being blasted through walls.

Reizen regains his fighting stance and waves his hands forward. It’s a teleportation bomb.

“I dont much care for what's going on here and I want my food table replaced....NOW!” Mason cracks his neck. “Don't make me get three kinds of ugly in here.”

The three brothers standing side by side after their combined beam attack are taken completely off guard by the invisible attack that now causes a massive shockwave in front of them. All three fly off in opposite directions and into the walls and ceilings.

“Maybe that will teach you kids some manners.”

"Not exactly!” yells Chachi as he and Chacha fly headlong into a combo attack throwing every fist and every punch at full strength in the demon’s direction.

Chach yells from the sidelines getting up from the rubble, "Kill him, bros!"

Meanwhile, the shadowy figure comes up to Ryodo’s almost unconscious body and starts to squeeze his neck. Ryodo notices the robe the figure wears; Dark colors - black and maroon. His eyes glare in a shadow as the robes hood well covers his face. The figure speaks in a gruff voice, "Stay out of this kid, if you know what’s good for you." And he throws Ryodo across the room. Ryodo lands on one of the eating patrons, one with an icy appearance, and looks halfway cool doing it. The icy figure, Mason, looks the other half way cool.

“Hey there buddy. Do you think I know what's good for me?”

Mason gets up slowly. "That was about as cool as a flap jack on a Texas morning there are two shades of earl grey" 

Reizen shoots a look at the frozen guy making odd comments, then Reizen flies at the brothers with punches and kicks, focusing most of his attacks on his original opponent, Chachi. They lock up. The brothers swing wildly at Reizen who barely has time to dodge out of their way let alone attack with his own. But he tries. Nine blows land from the brothers combined punches, and as the ninth blow lands the demon gets a swirl of energy and lands four punches of his own. The first throws Chacha into the floor nearby, disabling him for the moment. The other three hit Chachi square in the face. The demon lands on top of the brother as he throws the final punch. “Im tired of this.” Reizen prepares to make an attempt to finish him off.

Meanwhile Mason powers up. The shadow figure takes a notice of the Titanstalker fellow and flies around in front of him as he powers up. "I wouldn’t do that if I were you," comes the same gruff voice.

“You wouldn't do a lot of things if you were me... Thank goodness, you’re not...me?”

Ryodo climbs to his feet, and having been launched into a Saiyan rage, lunges himself at the shadowy figure. He unleashes a rage filled combo on the cloaked being. Ryodo flies into the being from behind only to find his punches and kicks do nothing but move the figures clothes around.

The figure repeats, "For real, I wouldn’t." The figure flicks his hands at Ryodo again, and he again flies across the room and into a wall, this time he's too angry to look damn cool.

Taking the moment the shadowy figure is distracted, Mason does eyebeams at the shadowy figure’s robe, burning out an M in the material. The figure swings around wildly and as Mason catches a glimpse of his eyes so to does he catch a glimpse of the single finger that hits his face ever so gently but knocks him back 15 feet and through a wall of his own. His body slams into the wall splintering the majority of it.

Just then the announcer and the official run in with cameras.

The announcer picks his microphone up. “Unbelievable. Completely unorthodox. Three vs one today, and this place is a mess. But this is being allowed by the officials so we are told. Who will win?”

The camera pans on Mason as he picks up one of the splinters and picks his teeth with it as he sits up. The camera moves to Ryodo, who twitches.

“DOUBLE KI BEAAAAM!” Reizen points his hands straight down at point blank at Chachi who he has pinned down at this time, then executes the verbal threat.

The figure turns to the two downed fighters who attacked him. “You are not ready to fight me yet, and if you don’t learn self control, you never will be.” With the camera arriving and the officials sanctioning the three vs one fight, the figure leaves, having accomplished his goal in the matter.

Ryodo twitches again

Back to the official match, the fighter Chachi screams "Nooooooo!" as one beam, then another blast into his face. The blow is enough to take tiles out of the floor underneath him. The building shakes and the roof starts to fall in a little just above Ryodo.

“The finisher!”

Chach and Chacha rush at the demon with another combo assault. Reizen waits until all three brothers are in range to unleash what is left of his ki. Reizen smiles at their foolishness as they play right into his plan. “Demon teleportaton bomb!”

The blast tears into the two unsuspecting brothers as the demon Reizen jumps out of the way. The brother on the floor also receives blast damage - despite his wounds already, and slides across the floor like a limp doll. Reizen waits for movement from any of the three.

Chachi alone gets up from the blast, bloodied and sore and stumbling as his brothers, reeling from the blast, crawl away to safety.

The announcer announces, “Unbelievable!”

“Demon, I will not lie down and let you defeat me.”

Reizen walks toward the stumbling Chachi preparing for another strike. Reizen swings his leg out to trip him.

“Kame.…” Chachi stumbles, but pulls himself together, and grabs the demons shoulder and holds it tight “Hame..…”

Reizen tries to push him off quickly but fails.

Chachi, his one hand free to do the blast, the other holding the demon still, unleashes the build up of energy. “Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!”

Reizen shields himself as well as he can. The blast ploughs into the demon with all its might. The beam tears open his skin as it continues like prolonged torture.

“BYAHHHH!” The demon throws up everywhere from the impact.

Chachi lets go of the demon as he reels from the blast and falls down on the floor in front of him as he trips on loose stones.

“Unbelievable!”

Reizen throws up on Chachi, and then kicks him while he’s down. Chachi takes the blow head on and slides across the floor.

“Guess there’s no ring out, huh.”

Chachi picks up a nearby rock and tosses it at the demon. Yokai completely dodges the rock.

“Swish!”

Feeling ill, Reizen decides to take advantage of gravity and extends an elbow as he falls down onto Chachi. Chachi takes the elbow, and coughs up blood. Then he wraps his arm around Reizen's head for a headlock. Reizen elbows Chachi in the chest as he squeezes his neck, both fighters breathless after the old school wrestling struggle.

“You know if this were one on one I would’ve kicked your ass.” Reizen comments as he smiles, and then punches Chachi in the face. Chachi responds with a punch of his own right to the face of Reizen, and then starts flailing, for his attack to follow is a series of punches and kicks while on the ground. Reizen sighs breathlessly as he blocks as many of the punches and kicks as he can.

Six punches land, and Chachi seems to be getting momentum again as he picks himself off the ground to deliver the final punch from above the demon. Reizen attempts to further use gravity to his advantage by pulling Chachi’s leg. Chachi attempts to dodge the yank but fails and lands awkwardly on his knee. SNAP.

The bone breaks. Chachi screams in unbearable pain.

Reizen looks at the broken bone and throws up in Chachi’s general direction.

"I can't take this anymore. I give up! I can't do it. Brothers, don't be shamed in me!"

“R-really?”

“I can't believe this! Reizen wins!”

The announcer runs and helps Reizen pick himself up off the ground, who kicks Chachi one more time. “AHHHHH!”

“Hizzah!”

Something very strange is going on when the rules of the tournament are no longer followed. Is it because of the entertainment value? And just who was that mysterious hooded man? And who is going to repair all the damage?

Reizen will move on to the next round of the tournament, Chachi's brother Chacha may yet get his chance for revenge if he wins his match.
