Open to Vaudevillians

In addition to the magic schools, since the techniques entertainers use are indeed magic, Vaudevillians also get access to the Entertainers Guild.

The Entertainers Guild is the only places where you can train to learn entertainer skills. You cannot buy these performances in stores. Entertainers techniques are purchased with money, and learned with experience.

When you find the Entertainers Guild Guild building in each of the towns you may access the entertainers guild techniques available to you.

Unlike with normal magic, all techniques will be available to you in every entertainers guild building. There is likely an entertainers guild in every town, regardless of size, except maybe the most stoic of places.

Like mages and the book stores, you will come to entertainers guilds to purchase new techniques. Some techniques will require an additional "trade", to prove you are a qualified and willing entertainer. Most can simply be bought. Entertainers techniques will be listed below as they become available. Check back here often.

 

Skills Available:

 

Name: "We Go Together" (from Grease) (Availability - everyone)
Ability:
One combined group dice roll attack. Everyone participates.
Roll Rules: Perform part of the song. Combat - roll intelligence D20. One target attack only. If successful, everyone will roll a D4 for damage done. Uses 6 magic points. Takes 1 turn.

Name: "Africa" (by Toto) (Availability - Vaudevillians Only)
Ability: This song brings down the rains that you bless so much.
Roll Rules: Perform part of the song. Combat or passive - roll intelligence D20. Brings down a torrential rain that puts out flame, fills a dry lake bed, causes mud slides,  etc,  or does direct water damage  (only to those vulnerable) - roll intelligence D6 x 3 for damage done. Uses 2 magic points. Takes 1 turn.

Name: "Money For Nothing" (by Dire Straits) (Availability - Vaudevillians Only)
Ability: Get your money for nothing and your chicks for free!
Roll Rules: Combat or passive - roll intelligence D20 three times. Uses a turn. If successful, you will earn money equivalent to a D20 roll x100, and the females on the team will be required to make a sexy naughty comment or gesture towards you. Yes, I realize this is sexist, but it's in the song lyrics, OK! Blame the 80's, not me! OK, blame me a little. Look how hard this is to perform successfully though!!! If you perform this in battle, and succeed, it will distract all the female characters, including enemies, and they will all lose one turn. Can only be performed once per game day. Choose your timing wisely! Uses 5 magic points.

Name: "Purple Rain" (by Prince) (Availability - Vaudevillians Only)
Ability: Rain down deadly rain on the battlefield. Affects all enemies.
Roll Rules: This is a continual attack, requires multiple turns for maximum damage, and gets more deadly each turn. Requires you to sing a line each turn. Combat - roll intelligence D20 to initially cast. Uses 5 magic to initially cast. Attack damage for the first 2 turns: roll 2 sided item  in which 1 side represents 1 damage done, and the other 2 damage done. For the 3rd and 4th turn: roll a D4 for damage done. For the 5th and 6th turn:  roll a D10. For the 7th and 8th turn: roll a D12. For the 9th and 10th turn: roll a D20. For all subsequent turns roll a D20 x the number of turns taken above the 9th turn.

Name: "Thriller" (by Michael Jackson) (Availability - Vaudevillians required, and a Necromancer)
Ability: This attack can only be performed with permission of your Necromancer, if available. Summons zombies up from the ground, 2 per turn, which have 10 health and do damage equal to D12 to enemies in close range only (but the zombies can move per turn too).  This can quickly overwhelm an enemy.
Roll Rules: Requires 2 players to use each their turn(s). Not vulnerable, can still defend. No other non-thriller-zombie summon can currently be on the battlefield. Each player rolls intelligence D20. Uses 1 magic point for each zombie summoned from each player.  The number of zombies summoned on the battlefield are limitless. Someone needs to track their health.
