-Russet (Preferably) Style baking potatoes (Any potatoes will do really)
-Canola or vegetable oil
-Coarse large grained salt (like coarse sea salt)

Preheat the oven to 350 F

Wash the potatoes

Dry the potatoes

Stab the potatoes with a fork or sharp knife a few times so they don't explode when baking.

Coat the outside of each potato with the oil.

Coat the oily potatoes with about a tsp or so of salt each, rubbing it all around the potato.

Place the potatoes directly on the middle rack of an oven with a pan or foil on the lower rack to collect any drips.

Bake for about 60 mins, depending on potato number and size, or until soft when pinched with fingers or tongs.
